The photo series "My Beautiful! Spring Is Somewhere Around Here" is drawn from a forthcoming photography book of the same title. This project is the result of three years of documentary photography of more than two hundred notable modernist buildings in Tehran, constructed between 1931 and 1981. Since the photography for this collection began in 2022, many of these buildings have been demolished. This series of photographs is an attempt to invite pause and a second look at Tehran's modern residential fabric, remarkable and valuable examples of the city's modern-era aesthetics that sit quietly within the urban fabric and are disappearing one after another. The location of each building is noted beneath its photograph, and the collection aims to invite citizens to wander and find these buildings within Tehran's dense and tangled fabric; it is, therefore, an invitation to document and remember them, before they fall prey to greed and the crane in a cold city.
